Conditions of participation: as of January 2024
The Golden City Gate is an international tourism film-, print- and multimedia-competition during ITB in Berlin with a subsequent award ceremony in different categories. Eligible are cities, countries, regions, hotels & spa, resorts, advertising and event agencies, city marketing, tourist associations, airlines, airports, cruises, shipping companies, departments of economic, development, ministries, TV institutions, music publisher, film- music- and media-productions, or persons to whom the rights of the submission of the contributions have been transmitted. By submitting a film or contribution the participant assert, that he is unrestricted entitled to dispose of the usage rights. The participant shall indemnify the presenter from any and all claims of third parties arising out of an infringement of third-party rights and a defense against such claims.
Any kind of film has to be entered as a Youtube link or Vimeo link within the Registration Panel of The Golden City Gate. If you haven´t already shared your files in this Registration Panel, you can also use another filesharing service like WeTransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox or Microsoft OneDrive to upload your contribution(s). In this case, please use the mail-address: info@huschert.de to sent your digital files.
When possible, also send us a 15sec version of your film which we would liek to use for the Category Teaser Compilation in the Award Ceremony.
All other contributions (Flyers, Posters, DVDs or USB-sticks) need to be sent to the following address at the latest by 15th February 2024.

Please export the digital submission in MP4 format. The minimum resolution is 1280x720p, the max. resolution 1920x1080p. The applicant is responsible for the technical quality. The submitted entry will be listed and evaluated in the self-selected category in the jury list. Changes to the category must be agreed in advance.
A participant is accredited to the competition when the registration form has been successfully submitted through the Registration Panel and the participation fee including VAT incurred in Germany has been paid directly after receipt of the invoice. Fill out the online form with address, submitter and billing address conscientiously. For the rewriting and demand of the VAT we have to charge you an additional amount of 35,00 Euro.
1st film registration: 750€ + 19% VAT*
2nd film registration: 700€ each + 19% VAT*

Upon receipt of a contribution, the application fee can not be refunded. The number of contributions is not limited.
The shipping costs for bank transfers and PayPal costs as well as the costs for the return of the given documents must be taken over by the participant. If an award has not been collected during the official ceremony or during ITB business days, the award can also be shipped to the participant. Additional costs have to be paid in advance.
Delivery within Germany: 50 Euro (incl. VAT)
Delivery within Europe: 70 Euro (incl. VAT)
Delivery Worldwide: 150 Euro (incl. VAT)
The Golden City Gate is not liable for any damage or loss of transmissions. The organizer of the competition reserves the right to present excerpts from entries awarded in gold (1st star), silver (2nd star) and bronze (3rd star) at the award ceremony. The best film of all categories out of the yearly competition will receive the DIAMOND AWARD.
The applicant will be informed after the first jury session if the contribution has been nominated to participate in the competition. After the award ceremony of The Golden City Gate, we invite you to a get-together. Things might be a little different during COVID-times.

The CISG law is excluded.
There is no entitlement to participation.
