This is

„The Golden City Gate“

In 2024 the film-print-multimedia competition „The Golden City Gate“ will also be held by our organization. We are looking forward to see your submissions and touristic contributions. We are planning to hold the Award Ceremony in several German cities and provide video coverage via YouTube. In the beginning of 2024 and for all future adjustments, we will inform you about the current details of the Award Ceremony.

“The Golden City Gate”

is the creative and innovative expression of the tourism industry. Since 2001 it takes place during ITB in Berlin as an international tourism film and multimedia competition.

The Competition

presents films of various categories. The submissions reach international professional experts from different states, countries, cities, hotels and national and international tourism associations, as well as trade show visitors interested in tourism.

The Judging

is pursued by an international panel of jury in the areas of concept and creativity, information value, visual performance, cut, music, language, design, emotion, harmony. Even the interactivity of websites is considered.

The Best Submissions

in each Category are awarded with city gates in gold, silver and bronze. The worldwide coveted Diamond Award of the media competition The Golden City Gate will also be awarded for the best contributions of all categories every year.

The Jury

consists of 45 specialists of the following fields: tourism-, city-, hotel marketing, film, IT, public relations, music, advertising, design, also ministers, ambassadors and public institutions. The accurate choice of the judges guarantees a professional and diversifi ed spectrum of expertise in order to obtain a professional and objective rating.

The Award Ceremony

takes place with invited guests from all over the world and the current participants in the competition. The event is held during ITB-Berlin every year in March.

Official patron of the competition is the FEDERAL ASSOCIATION OF GERMAN FILM AND AV PRODUCERS e.V. in Wiesbaden.
